Comet Cars on the San Joaquins

Per an Amtrak public notice, Trains 711 and 718 will begin using the single-level Comet car trainset on October 21. It appears that the F40/cabbage car will lead heading towards Bakersfield. All subject to change, of course.

An additional Comet coach arrived in Oakland on #5 on Friday, making a total of six delivered so far. Currently in Oakland are three Horizon dinettes painted to match the Comets, and two F40/cabbage cars (90218 and 90225).
