Sam,
From what I have read, there will be enough refurbished cars for 2 San Joaquin trainsets, plus some spares, once all the overhauld comet cars arrive. This will free up 2 sets of California cars, 10 cars in all, for use with other trainsets. Some on the CC and some on other San Joaquin trains. This is supposed to be temporary until the new California Cars arrive, but I suspect by the time they arrive, about 4 years from now, ridership growth will require the comet cars to remain. As it is, some Capitols are SRO at times, and some San Joaquins are sold out at times.
