We did load our first whole train from McCoy. We had done half of the prior train there. It went well except for a couple of small issues. The plan we came up with for loading a unit train on such a steep hill is this. We start 2/3 deep and load last third of the train first. Then back up and start on the head car and load the head 2/3's. this way we Do not have to try and stop and start the whole train loaded on the over 1% grade. Not sure if we are going to continue this practice. When train starts getting heavy even when it's balanced evenly on the uphill and downhill is very difficult thing to do especially when it has to move and stop fast so they do not have to shut the elevator down. I bet we will load it in two pieces in the future. Because other problem we had was communication. Because the track curves around the hill it was hard to talk between the loader operators and head end. But that should be remedied with a larger radio that McCoy should have already installed. Thanks stan. Any other questions feel free to ask.
