Sprinter Grand Opening Dec. 28

Hello Everybody,

I was at the Sprinter Grand Opening yesterday in Oceanside and Escondido California. Got to be on the inaugural train that brought dignitaries to the party in Escondido. If everything goes properly today, I will have a complete story posted tonight or early tomorrow morning. Here are a couple of photos to share.

The first photo is the empty train that brought us back in time to miss Amtrak 583.

The bottom photo is just moments before breaking the banner. Not a bad place to be, eh? Luckily they have a glass door separating the cab from the passenger cabin.
