One of the worst wrecks I ever saw was a rear-ender involving one train @60+ mph hitting a standing train. The nose, cab, cabody, engine, alternator, trucks and everything else were torn completely off the lead unit and landed several hundred feet away from the frame and fuel tank. The frame was intact, as were the two big collision posts sticking up from it.
