I actually know the answer to this!

The credit refers to the mock-up train that was used for filming on the sound stage. It was originally built for the 1950 movie A Ticket To Tomahawk, then was purchased by the owner of the Barbary Coast Bar that was inside the Hoyt Hotel in Portland, Oregon. It then went back to be used on Petticoat Junction. Apparently as part of the deal, Producer Paul Henning and Filmways agreed to give the hotel credit. After that, it went to the Stage Coach Inn on Highway 50 east of Sacramento, then to the Amador County Museum in Jackson, Calif., and is currently at the Durango Railroad Historical Society in Durango, Colo.
