A couple of years back, I mentioned here about a Grumman F3F that was being rebuilt at Schellville Airport in Sonoma County, CA. These were the precursor to the F4F Wildcat that was used by the Navy & Marines in WW2.

The aircraft has been flying and is on the cover of the current issue of AIR CLASSICS. Although
the aircraft has a rather portly image, it is a real performer and were considered to have been
good for use as an interceptor when they first came out in the mid 30's. Typical Grumman, they were built hella strong.

Owner Chris Prevost has the biplane up for trade...
