Sad to hear. I have railfaned in that area. Another forum said 3.3 miles from Bayard hauling Iron ore, I assume they meant Magnetite. This would a local coming from Fierro. 3.3 miles north is closer to Hanover in an area with lots of mine tailings, bare earth (mud). South is the gully the tracks follow south to Hurley.
