I have to give BNSF fairly good marks at this time. I work for a shortline that is totally dependent on BNSF for empty car supply and then picking up loads from us. While at times their service isn't quite what we would like, generally they are doing a good job for us.
Last night I was on a unit grain train we delivered to them and they took it in a generally timely fashion. The lead unit, CP 8853, a nice ES44AC, had a BNSF blue card in the cab which would indicate that it is one of approximately 80 units BNSF has leased from the CP.
BNSF also has some good Dispatchers. One who usually works Boyer West (Sandpoint ID - Spokane WA, the so called "funnel") knows how to keep trains moving. "Sam" isn't intimidated by Amtrak and can get the railroad unclogged if left alone to dispatch as he sees fit. And, as long as they don't do something stupid, he does good for Amtrak as well.
