A 136 to 115 is a VERY common thermite comp joint since the EsPee used a lot of 136 (particularly through crossings that they upgraded) and most shortline / industrial / light rail uses 115 as their standard.

Another common thermite comp joint is 133 / 136 where the old UP standard was 133 and the EsPee was 136 (or 132 headfree) and the 136 is comparable to the newer 141/142 head hardened curve rail. A 136 / 141/142 comp weld has to adjust for the thicker head height but everything else is the same.

Very little 90 lb is relaid these days; however 90/136 and 90/115 weld kits are readily available.
