During the 2012-2013 school year, I lived and worked in Thailand as an English teacher at a Thai High School. Throughout my time there, I went on several train trips across Thailand as well as the neighboring countries.
Here is a small selection of my images from Thailand. These are all from the Death Railway: the infamous railway built using slave labor (Allied POWs and Thai and Malay peoples) by the Imperial Japanese Army. Over 60,000 British, Australian, Dutch and Americans as well as over 100,000 Thais, and Malays perished while building this railway through the treacherous Thai-Burmese jungle.
