Who the heck cares? Many so-called self-proclaimed "rr consultants" are retired or or otherwise let go 'good ole boys', doing not a whole lot of any importanance, and in a few cases douing what the railroad ought to be doing themselves, if they didn't keep getting stupider. I bet there is more 'connections' and knowlegde among any 5 or 6 successful shortline operators or private car managers than in so-called consultants. And a vast amount of that knowledge, experience and advice can be had with a phone call or casual meeting. In this case, my nose says "follow the money, follow the dope and you'll get you answers".
I can just imagine Shortline Sammie and the rest of us calling upon the wisdom and connections of "a premier railroad and transportation consulting team with connections to many Class I railroads to advise upon and develop, pursue and implement decisive multi-faceted transportation logistic stategies insuring a successful path to future transportation and community needs".
BARF! Just fix the track and run the trains.
