Tacoma Rail gets Fed Grant for $750K

Tacoma Rail announced they got a federal grant for $750,000 to improve tracks with new rail, ties and ballast. Says in The News Tribune they are going to use the money to improve tracks between Fredrickson and Eatonville. Will improve speed on track and help develop freight.

My question to all the people who know more about TR than I do...

What freight business is there between Fredrickson and Eatonville? I get the impression they are using this money to improve the tracks for the Grand Lux trains that are supposedly going to run on this trackage next year.

Also mentioned in the article that Paula Henry, TR Supt. mentioned that GL is going to run Tacoma to Napa Valley trains next year. I assume this means the train trip will start in Tacoma vs Seattle???

Any comments or info you can provide will be appreciated.
