Buzzards Have Landed?

I saw an AK Railroad Materials truck on US 12 just west of Yakima this afternoon. He was carrying a large front end loader. For some odd reason, I suspect that the strange saga of the Naches Branch may be ending very soon. NB for trails folk: This isn't exactly the most sceneic route, dead parallel to US 12 freeway from Yakima (40th Avenue)to Naches... Some of this rail may be original NP from its transcon main -- ddated 1876!
