OOPs - CORRECTION:
Even the insulative effect of "Low-E" glass has nothing to do with the thermal properties of any gas. It is the very thin metalic coating on the glass that reflects thermal energy - not the gas. The inert gas is used only to prevent moisture from entering the pane and fogging it up.
And now that water vapor has been mentioned. It is the one gas that does does have massive thermal properties at atmospheric temperatures and pressures. Water Vaper alone is what is responsible for moderating Earth's temperature, just the same as it limits the temperature of food cooking on a stove.
So is Water Vapor the only greenhouse gas? NO, it traps no thermal energy, as is (was) essential to the greenhouse theory. Nothing does.
