Possibly, the altitude and the distance North would diminish the monsoon affect somewhat. That area gets t-storms in years when we have little if any monsoon activity. There were storms in the parks and down to St. George in the period of time that we had little activity. Certainly the washout was triggered by the same level of t-storm that we see further South.
