Here's a photo I took in April 03, 2000 of the High Iron Travel Explorers trip at Espinaza del Diablo (KP 445) on TFM's Tamasopo Subdivision. This is the line that links Tampico, at sea level, with San Luis Potosi at an elevation of 6,115 feet. All of this happens in 275 miles. This line is another engineering marvel and I'd like to see a track profile as the steep grade is concentrated in a small area after the line crosses a coastal plain. Where the photo was taken is called the D e v i l' s Spine, as the track tunnels through what looks like the spine of the mountain range.
