Here's a photo I took on March 31, 2000 at Bridge 143.07 when our special High Iron Travel
Explorers train was making its way toward Lazaro Cardenas, MICH. This is a relatively new section of railroad that follows the Atoyac River to the Pacific coast. The extremely scenic line is very isolated along this stretch and is many miles from the nearest highway. Many bridges and tunnels were required in the line's construction, which I believe took place in the 1960s or '70s.
