Here's a photo taken on March 28, 2000 and we're looking at the rear platform of the privately-owned railroad passenger car CARITAS. The car is parked on the international railroad bridge linking Laredo, Texas (United States of America) with Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulitas (Mexico) and is part of a chartered three-car train that will explore a sizable chunk of the Mexican rail system on an itinerary lasting a little over a week. The train will travel as far south as the Pacific coast port of Lazaro Cardenas, Michoacan. The train is temporarily parked on the bridge as customs and immigration formalities are being taken care of. The people on the back platform are (L to R) the late John Harmon of NJ, David Arthur of CA, Tom Sharratt of WI, the late Ed Graham of CA, the late Robert Moser of CO, Phil Moser of IL and the trip organizer and operator, Clark Johnson of WI.
