Just happened to have the tv on at the right moment to view Michael Palin's travel series to visit the Sahara Desert in Mauritania in western Africa. At the town of Zouerat, day 23, near an iron mine, he catches the train to Azougui. They show some views of the head end of the train (EMDs) and the "passenger" cars at the end. He makes some funny quips about boarding the train and its "class" of travel. Some still photos from
