I was once got hit, by a guy in a Gremlin, at Nadeau Street (long before the ditch) while I was stopped on the street in an old SD-7, without the guy ever even hitting the brakes. at about 30 mile per hour. He put about a four inch dent in the fuel tank. All before the age of cellphones. As they said in "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance": as a car driver, he was (metaphorically) watching television, and we were just on a different channel......
