SP C630 3148 in Roseville

Yet another big ALCo.

SP C630 3148 sits in the Roseville Power Pool on May 27, 1973.

Reportedly (sources), according to Strapac's great SP Compendium series, SP 3148 was built in March 1966 as SP 7807, SP Class AF630-1, construction number 3439-08. It was downgraded to switcher status, becoming SP 3148, SP Class AS630-1, in May 1973. It was retired in Dec. 1982 scrapped by Sept. 1987.
