If SP6051 is not expected, one possible reason is the former SP Boiler Shop (now used by CSRM and CSRMF for restoration, signals and maintenance-of-way)has been put out-of-service by a structural failure at a time when all ongoing engine maint./repair work is backlogged. Crews are coping with work-arounds and makeshift working conditions until the Museum fixes the broken part of the building. First priority is getting an excursion locomotive running reliably enough to return to operate in revenue service on the Sacramento Southern RR. Whole thing is complicated by delays in transferring ownership of the former SP Boiler Shop building from the Railyards developer to CA State Parks.
