UP 6936 Reportedly in Crossing Accident

Preliminary report says that an employee special came upon a loaded cattle truck east of North Platte before noon today. No (human) injuries were reported - no information yet about the DDA40X - presumably not too serious.

This same locomotive was in a crossing accident back around 2000 that resulted in a fatality to an employee in the cab. The locomotive was subsequently rebuilt with, among other things, a stronger nose door.
