Offer what You have received so far, showing a list of who donated (which will verify donations). Then as others see proof of good faith, monthly payments can be made for the unit. This way, people on these boards will be more willing to donate and the unit can be saved. I doubt they would scrap it seeing that interest is overwhelming.
