Remember... Governments don't always represent the very people who live under them. Most Russian railfans are just like you and I. We not need to look farther than our own front door to see that our own government no longer represents the will of the taxpaying American.

My wifes family escaped from Soviet Poland in the 70's and 80's. Many worked for the Polish State Railways. Apparently in the Soviet days, armed guards would inspect the trains while exchanging bogies, for stowaways who had tied themselves to the undercarriage of the passenger cars to escape the country.
