This is a great story and one that should get national publicity in this toooo cold world. Hopefully UP will find this kind conductor and give him some kind of award.....you can't buy this kind of community PR.
While UP corporate discourages engineer/conductor waving/horn honking.....we get many UP, Portland & Western and especially Amtrak engineers/conductors giving us a wave and toot at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center and our visitors (AND volunteers including me) really appreciate it.
