Was a very hot day in Corvallis, Oregon. We sat in my Grandmothers cramped studio apartment. My friend Harvey and I were getting bored with the interminable wait for Neil and Buzz to get out of the LEM, so we lit out for a couple of hours and went down to tracks in the sweltering heat. Not a damn thing was running on the railroad, and we got back in time for the big event.
