Discussion Board Outage

Thanks for your patience while the discussion board was down. I'm just as frustrated as you because I can't guarantee it won't happen again.

What's happening is the SQL server is being overloaded with complex queries that drain system resources for other customers. When their system detects the overload, it automatically blocks the offending database. This time around, it was like pulling teeth for me to get it reinstated because all of their phone support seems to have moved overseas.

I think the SQL server overload is being caused by a search engine trying to cache the site too often or a hacker up to no good. Until I know for sure, please try to avoid using the "Search" function if you can. This helps to keep the SQL server load to a minimum.
