Osprey average life span in the wild is 30 years. There is a nest on the Siskiyou Line on the bridge over the Umpqua R. north of Roseburg right next to the I-5 bridge. It has been there since the 80's and I've seen birds in it every year for the last 10 years or so. There is also another one on a pole just south of Lakehead on the Shasta Line. It is just south of where the tracks cross over I-5. It has also been there for a long time. Beautiful birds.
