Considering that Crystal Geyser these days comes from near Mt. Shasta, if the Delta pumps were operating, the canal might be filled (in some small part) with whatever escapes the bottling plant. Though if it's bottled in Weed I think the surface runoff goes to the Klamath rather than the Sacramento.

How about bringing over Fiji or Perrier by the tanker and filling the canal with it? Fizzy and a bit heavy on the minerals, though not as bad as olde Calistoga Water. You really DIDN'T want to drink Calistoga Water before they started filtering it (filtering started after a bit of embarassment chez Consumer Reports); some of the chemical and TDS readings were way off scale.
