Old wye between Mt Hebron and Grass Lake?

While messing around on Google earth I found the remnants of several old wyes on the shasta route. I figured the ones between Black Butte and at Grass Lake were for turning helpers, but there appears to be an old wye between Mt Hebron and Grass lake with an old roadbed extending to the SE for many miles. I may have traced it all the way to the old McCloud line to Lookout.

Anyone have any info on what that was? Logging line? When was it torn up?

THanks,
