EMP Attack on the power grid

I was listening to the news this evening and they where talking about A EMP attack on our grid. Just what would happen to all the trains out on the lines and the train crews when this ever happens. Will the trains and crews be stranded out in the mittle of nowhere in some places? Also what would the dispatchers in Omaha and Ft. Wort do?
