Alki Tours Leavenworth Trains

Recently received a new brochure from Alki Tours, 6417 - A Fauntleroy Way SW Seattle, WA 98136. In addition to their annual Leavenworth Snow trains on Dec. 6, 13, 20, & 27th, they are now offering Oktoberfest Trains on Oct. 4, 11, & 18 th, 2008. These trips utilize Amtrak's charter equipment, consisting of Amfleet & Horizon coaches & cafes & THE LAST DOME, # 10031, and make a ( long ) one - day roundtrip from King St. Station, Edmonds, & Everett to the Bavarian - themed town in the Cascades. This is a good time to ride this route in mostly daylight hours. Having been on the Snow train 3 times already, I will be looking to ride the October trip with fall colors & more light to enjoy them. Hopefully Leavenworth won't be quite as crowded( or cold ) either.
