Being recorded is the norm for any passenger train engineer or bus driver these days, and it'll likely be so for just about any railroad that handles hazmat as well. Don't whine too much about that, 'cause it'll probably be the one thing that saves your arse from being fired or sued due to a grade crossing accident or derailment. I'm no fan of it myself, but those lawyers and their politician kin are the ones who are causing most of this to happen, and using cameras in the cab may help keep 'em off of the railroad's backs, or at least reduce the amount of other techno-crap - like PTC, which is alredy being rammed down the industry's throat - that they'll demand the railroads use to "prevent further tragedies". (Oh, and give their crony capitalist pals in the tech sector more business as well - coincidentally, of course!)
