WA Fall Color Report - I-5 Corridor & Stevens Pass?

Hello All,

Fall colors this year in the northern Puget Sound area (Seattle to Everett) seem to me to be muted so far. There are small patches of color in the maples and oaks, but for the most part, it looks like the next two weeks will see more and better coloring in the trees than is showing so far.

On average over the years, the middle two weeks in October are usually peak color time in the north Puget Sound area and Stevens Pass, so my feeling is that we’re about one to two weeks behind normal, so far as autumn colors peaking.

Can anyone provide a recent report of the colors up in Stevens Pass, both east and west sides?

How about the Napavine Hill area, between Centralia and south to Vader and on to Kalama, WA?

Thanks in advance for your help.

-Tom
