South of Gerber and Los Molinos along Hwy. 99E, the tri-lights are used, but northward from the north switch of Gerber, the searchlights are still in place for the most part. At least they were a few months ago when I was in the Gerber-Red Bluff area. There may be a few spots to the north that have been converted to the tri-lights, but for the most part, you'll still see the searchlights on into Redding. There used to be a northbound facing "sticky" signal at Rawson that would always be giving an indication, but there weren't any trains anywhere close. The tri-lights start appearing again somewhere north of Redding.
