SE Washington/NE Oregon on a Saturday

Me and my brother-in-law are taking a drive around SE Washington this Saturday, roughly going from Lewiston along Highway 12 to Walla Walla; time permitting, we may get over to Pendleton, too. Just wondering if anyone on here knows of anything interesting we could try to see... I know about the usual stuff (Joso, UP going into the Blues); so I'm more wondering if any of the area shortlines are likely to be moving that day, or anything else unusual or even under-appreciated in your estimation. Thanks for any tips.
