Agree that the Lassen swarm looks interesting. Conventional response is that swarms happen in the Walker Lane (Lassen is at the NW end of it) and Great Basin all the time, and little ever comes of them. But when they happen close to an actual Recent volcano they bear watching.
As far as effect on Inside Gateway ... the Almanor (near Greenville) swarm a year or so ago was worse (so far, assuming nothing eruptive happens from the current activity) because it was practically on the line. No surface fault displacement affecting much, but minor shaking damage and rockfalls affected the area in general and therefore also (probably) the railroad. Again, annoying and even somewhat destructive in a limited area, but that's all.
