As far as Stagecoach the owner of Coach USA they can be ruthless in their dealings in the UK. If a company or boss are not performing to their profit figures then the boss is out. They have always worked within the law but can do some underhand things. eg Start a bus service in direct competition to the established operator (as the operator would not talk about being taken over) without getting the normal approval. They operated a free bus service in one town to get round not getting formal approval and bankrupt the established operator by not charging any fares and then charging fares when theyy have a monopoly...
