Thanks for those details on the PW.

This is one of the reasons that I love Altamont and those who post on it. These details allow all of us from different parts of what is largely a western train board to learn of the history, events, changes, and latest developments, which makes this hobby interesting. And, thanks to our editor and site sponsor for supporting this board. Altamont is truly a useful indicator of everything from the state of railroading today, to the latest currents of thought on society and railroads, to the mental health of railfans, in general, and that of certain contributors to this site, in particular.

Thanks for that contribution, at a great time of the year to be thankful for living through the age of great railroading and of great railroad people. May all of you on Altamont share in a happy holiday season, complete with a train around the Christmas tree. And I wish all on this board a happy and prosperous new year, filed with more great railroad experiences, yet to come.
