There is nothing secret about military rail operations. The attached link is far out of date, but gives you an idea of the scope of military rail.

Most ammunition depot rail operations are at least nominally active. Hawthorne, being the longest (in terms of mileage), operates sporadically to the UP connection at Wabuska. Crane, Indiana is very active with newly delivered gensets.
