Maybe you guys should open up your minds to the aggression Berg was most likely displacing when he defaced cop cars. Recently in America we have had a rash of officer involved shootings. Judging by the horrendous at worst, and ignorant at best dynamics you people display, I doubt you follow such issues. I know it is an extrapolation to say that Berg/Greb was writing these things just to combat such issues, and I know that spray painting a police car is not the best method to advance social change, but this man was a constituent of the small part of America that sees how unjust the justice system is. I told my friends about the person who said that his parents should be tied to a post and spray painted, and they laughed, but I cannot find humor in such prose... graffiti is larger and has deeper roots than the cliquey, egocentric form of art we associate with it in the twenty-first century. I believe that like most movements(art, social, or otherwise), graffiti has largely failed in remaining pure. That being said, I really don't understand the lack of understanding in this discussion. It is inherently wrong to damage someone else's property, but people who decide to go out and paint are often fed up with the futility of a world where innocent people are being shot, and social movements plain don't accomplish anything. This was his way of doing something. Open your minds..see the nuance...see the art. It takes skill, by the way.
