Certainly looks like it. Used to work in Palmdale near the tracks and if I could, stick my head out the back of the plant and watch them go by in the late afternoon while the oil cans were heading up to Vincent station/grade. I see 5 in the lead in this picture and if I remember correctly, there should be another 6 in the mid section. When they went by at work, everyone of them 2 strokers were wound up tight trying to pull the hill and then a moment later getting asphyxiated from the exhaust. Can imagine it being the same going thru Tehachapi.
