I rode the MC&SA mixed train in the summer of 1972. It was diesel-hauled by then but still had the former Long Island baggage-coach, a real antique. Behind the modern engine house was a deadline of steam locomotives---probably the same ones you have a picture of. I captured them with my Kodak Instamatic.
All of the steamers found homes with various museums in the coming years.
