If its the ones I think your talking about the base that housed the gate components was bigger
I remember them in towns Lancaster, Rosemond, Beaumont, and along the coast
Up until a few years ago there were a few on the Alhambra Sub at Temple Ave, Pomona Blvd and by the San Gabriel Mission
