Had lunch at the Fremont Amtrak/ACE Depot. I was waiting for Amtrak 539 to tryout a new lens and tripod that Santa brought. Here are a couple of shots, note the super-elevation on the 79mph curve.

#1 - UP733 working one the many locals from Newark yard. This movement was in reverse towards Newark.

#2 - Amtrak 539 southbound towards San Jose, stopping at the #2 platform which is so short that the engine and first 2 cars (out of 5) fit.
