Shortened Starlight Consist

I,ve noticed that the Coast Starlight consist has only 7 cars lately while passing through Carpinteria, Ca. The Pacific Parlour Car is absent also. Is this a new "off season" consist, cost cutting measure, etc? Anyone know? Thanks in advance.
