Considering that the new Haystack bridge is being built on a completely parallel alignment, I'm slightly surprised that it isn't a bit higher than the old one. Don't the higher tides (King Tides etc.) come pretty close to the bottom of the old bridge? Oh well - minimize present cost etc.

Great shots! Good to see the work well-documented; these days, the agency won't do that with official pictures as they did in the past.
