Let's just say GGT shouldn't plan on eliminating many of their commuter runs just because SMART appears. 1/4 mile walk to the ferry may just be a deal killer to potential commuters. And since the commute buses aren't paid for by federal funds perhaps they could do that (FTA frowns upon federally funded bus competition with rail lines that it also pays for). Of course, the real market served by SMART is the "internal" Marin-Sonoma market; you won't find many long-distance commuters on a line with that many stops.

What if? Elon & friends decided to do their Hype-loop starter line there instead of a ag-field community in the SJV.
